Mold Max Series tin cure silicone rubber
compounds exhibit
exceptional tear strength and working
properties. Featuring knotty
tear propagation, they reproduce the
finest of detail and are
suitable for both industrial and art
related applications including
making moulds for prototyping, furniture,
sculpture and
architectural elements.
Mold Max 10/20/30 rubbers can be thickened with THIVEX
thixotropic additive for brush-on
applications, thinned out with
Silicone Thinner and
accelerated using FastCat
(10/20/30).
Mold Max 30 now ships with Library
Catalyst which
significantly increases the library life
of your silicone mould.
New Translucent Tin-Cure Silicones 15T
& 27T
The 15T and 27T are new additions to our
popular Mold Max Series silicones. These silicones are
translucent (no colour), and are mixed 100A:10B by weight
curing overnight to a Shore 15A and 27A hardnesses
respectively. They have good physical properties and feature
Smooth-On’s LIBRA long library-life catalyst. Viscosities and
Shore hardnesses can be lowered with the addition of
Smooth-On’s Silicone Thinner. Both products can be thickened for brush-on
application using THIVEX thickener. Allow for easy extraction from original pattern where
critical viewing of model is required upon demold.
Applications: casting of plaster/gypsums,
wax, low melt alloys/metals, and urethane, epoxy or polyester
resins (without using a release agent).
