The Aqua-Resin system offers an easy to
use, water based – water borne, non-toxic, opaque,
moulding, laminating, and casting material without the usual
health risks or fumes generally associated with conventional or
formaldehyde based resin systems. All Aqua-Resin products are
designed to be easily mixed, applied, moulded, adhered to, cut,
tooled, sanded and feathered, finished and painted while
providing optimal strength for its intended uses.
Applications: prototypes
and rapid prototyping, architectural elements, mannequins and
figures, scenic design and film sets, repairs and restorations,
sculpture, foam coating, and other 3-dimensional uses.
Properties: non-toxic,
water-based, water-borne, no irritating fumes, long shelf life,
class “A” fire rating, hand lay-up and spray
application, two-stage hardening allows for easy tooling, cuts,
shapes, and sands easily, reproduces accurate detail with no
distortion or shrinkage, compatible with most paints and other
cured polymers and foams, light-weight, thin-wall laminations,
permanent, easy clean-up.
Aqua-Resin can be thickened using THX-6,
accelerated with XLR-8, and retarded with the addition of D-XL.
